Two nail-biter losses to Providence and Babson on Saturday, capped off with a large-margin win against Merrimack, brought an early end to the MCRC’s visit to the Lighthouse 7’s Tournament this weekend.  But the quality of play was high, with multiple members of the team scoring tries over the course of the day. Says Coach Wiebe:  “While I was disappointed in the end results, our team play and cohesiveness in defense was much improved since last week in Norwich. We held our own against two strong teams that have already qualified for the national championships with recent tournament victories.  We currently have a lot of youthful energy and enthusiasm around the team which should serve us well for “Beast of the East” later this month”

The Beast Of The East Tournament is Saturday, April 27th and Sunday, April 28th at The Glen in Portsmouth Rhode Island!  Come cheer on the Panthers!
