Having graduated six seniors in the spring of 2015, the MCRC went into this fall season looking for a strong recruiting class and new membership to bolster the club. All told, the club has added 24 new faces to the program since February and many of these new players have shown promise as future stars of the Blue. Five freshmen, Doug Wilson, Christian Reina, Gad Kibet, Alex Hogenhuis, and Henry Kremer, came to us already having multiple years of rugby under their belts and through five games of the season, all have made an impact in an A-side match.
February recruiting added six new members to the club. Ben Manoukian has been the standout player, having started at lock every game of the fall 2015 season in just his first year of rugby. September, on-campus recruiting brought in another large group of freshman eager to learn the basics of rugby and develop their skills. An impressive thirteen new members turned out for the first day of training and have steadily progressed. Many already have a grasp of rugby basics and are beginning to work their way into the larger training squad.
